Tamoxifen citrate is an oral, nonsteroidal anti-estrogen medication used primarily to treat and prevent hormone receptor-positive breast cancer in both men and women. It is available as a prescription tablet in doses of 10 mg and 20 mg under various brand names, including Nolvadex® and Soltamox®.

  • Reduction of breast cancer risk in women at high risk for the disease (e.g., due to family history).
