Rifaximin tablets are a prescription antibiotic used to treat traveler's diarrhea irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea (IBS-D), and to reduce the risk of hepatic encephalopathy recurrence. It works locally in the intestines with minimal absorption into the bloodstream. Common doses are
