Lenvatinib capsules are a targeted cancer treatment used to treat certain types of thyroid, kidney, liver, and endometrial cancers. It works by blocking specific proteins that promote the growth of cancer cells and the development of new blood vessels that feed the tumors. 

Specific uses for lenvatinib include:

• Differentiated Thyroid Cancer (DTC): For cases that are locally recurrent, metastatic, progressive, and can no longer be treated with radioactive iodine.

• Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC), or kidney cancer: Used as a first-line treatment in combination with pembrolizumab, or in combination with everolimus after one prior anti-cancer therapy has been tried.

• Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC), or liver cancer: Used as a first-line treatment for advanced cases that cannot be removed by surgery.

• Endometrial Carcinoma (EC), or uterine cancer: Used in combination with pembrolizumab for advanced or recurrent cases that have progressed after prior systemic therapy and are not candidates for curative surgery or radiation.
