It is used to treat certain blood cancers, including Hodgkin’s disease (a cancer of the immune system cells), specific types of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and chronic lymphocytic leukemia, a condition in which the bone marrow produces large numbers of abnormal white blood cells.
